How the internet works

How the internet works
The internet can be a very fascinating place. I have learned how the internet works and how we are able to communicate with other people around the world. For example, when we try to communicate with people in other countries, there are these fiber glass wires that run across the bottom of the ocean. In those fiber glass wires are a beam of light which contains a message or whatever  you want to send someone. That message is bounced in between that wire at the speed of light, which is very fast. I have also learned that every computer has a certain number which is called an IP address. This number helps other computers figure out who is sending them a message and who they should also send it back to. There are many hackers in the world. Some can be adults trying to get information from someone or it can be a regular teenager just trying to show off. There are also many receivers in the  world that help manage certain things. For example, if you are searching something that ends with .org, it will send it to the .org receiver and in return, you will get sent to the right place that you are looking for.
